ANIMAL REIKI

ANIMAL REIKI

If an animal is suffering from blocked energy they have no way of telling us, therefore this may present itself through physical illness, behavioral problems, stress or a loss of appetite.

Animals suffer from stress for many reasons. They may be a rescue pet, have moved home, have a new baby in the family, have fear or trust issues, been shipped abroad, nearing the end of their life, incurred an illness or injury or the be suffering from the loss of a companion. As with people, reiki helps to heal the physical by speeding up the healing process and easing the pain. If the animal is emotionally sensitive, it helps to release stress and tension, enabling them to relax.

What happens during a treatment?

The treatment is carried out in the animals own environment, where they are most comfortable or as with people over distance. If the animal is very aggressive or nervous, a distance treatment initially can be beneficial. Animals retain a large degree of control over how much reiki they require, often moving away once they have had enough. The comfort and wellbeing of your animal is top priority at all times and the treatment will begin with space between the practitioner and the animal, progressing to 'hands on' when the animal shows willing.

    How may the animal react?

  • eyelids relax and start to close
  • head lowers
  • yawning or sighing
  • nuzzling
  • lower lip drooping
  • itching / twitching

The number of treatments is individual to the animal but an initial course of three is recommended. On going treatments or courses can be booked, as and when needed. Treatments on average last 45 minutes, however it is your animal that ultimately decides the duration.

I have always had a connection with animals and particularly enjoy giving them reiki. Unlike people, they have no preconceptions and their enjoyment can be seen, almost immediately. I regularly give reiki to my own pets and work with any size of animal, from horses to rabbits.

" My friends little rescue dog who had so many issues, after three sessions he can now walk past cats and dogs without a big fuss and now touch his back legs which was always a problem/stressful for him. I can thoroughly recommend this treatment with Kerry, who is kind and warming, It is as if I've known her for years." - source cylex, Jan K 14th July 2015
